Under his command, the Taipei City-based Huaxing became a baseball powerhouse in Northern Taiwan and a tough competitor with southern Pingtung County-based Meiho High School. For decades, “North Huaxing and South Meiho” was one of the top baseball rivalries in Taiwan.

In his 30 years at the helm of Huaxing, Fang led the school’s senior league and big league teams to clinching several world championship titles. His decades-long efforts also helped to cultivate thousands of talents around the country who shine not only in baseball world.

Taiwan’s little league baseball had gained international fame since 1969 with its one after another championship titles in Little League Baseball World Series.
